The first of its kind, Profhilo® is a revolutionary ‘beneath the skin’ hyaluronic acid moisturizing treatment, made with the patented NAHYCO® technology. Jalupro delivers amino acids directly into the skin aimed at feeding the fibroblasts which produce our collagen. Collagen gives us firmer more bouncy skin. Please note for optimum results some areas may require 2-4 treatments two weeks apart then a maintenance top up treatment every 4-6 months. Profhilo is an ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin. As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid. The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Profhilo is more than a skin booster as it also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.
You require two treatments 1 month apart. Some patients will see results after the first week or so but for some optimum results will be seen after the second treatment.
Jalupro and other skin boosters work in similar ways. Jalupro requires 3-4 treatments 2 weeks apart for optimum results.
Typically, you can expect results to last 6 months however this can vary depending on the individual.
As with any treatment where a needle is used there can be some discomfort due to the piercing of the skin. Profhilo is administered with a fine needle to just under the skin. Many report a stinging sensation however generally the treatment is well tolerated.
With any medical or cosmetic procedures there are risks and potential side effects. Common side effects include bruising, swelling and tenderness and tend to last 3-7 days following the procedure however can be slightly longer for some treatments. More uncommon side effects include infection, lumps, allergic reaction and severe swelling. You should avoid wearing make up, touching the area and extreme heat and exercise for 24 hours post procedure.
Fillers such as juvederm or Teoysal are designed to target specific areas of skin that have lost volume. We use them to fill lines and hollow areas.
Profhilo targets the more superficial layer of skin with the aim to reverse general signs of ageing and dehydration. It is injected strategically to provide an overall hydrating and rejuvenating effect.
Profhilo is £550 in total that includes both treatments a month apart. Jalupro and other skin boosters range from £120 per treatment.
We recommend a top up session after 6 months. Top ups of Profhilo are £250. Regular top ups are recommended for the ultimate results as the collagen continues to build and build. Jalupro and other skin boosters are from £120.
Treatments can be used for the face, the neck, décolleté, arms, hands and knees.
